OJ Rashad Green, 36, also known as “Ice,” from Accokeek, Maryland, has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison and three years of supervised release for distributing fentanyl. The sentence was handed down by District Judge Deborah K. Chasanow.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland, a federal jury found Green guilty after a six-day trial in February 2025. He was convicted of knowingly and intentionally distributing fentanyl on four separate occasions between January 21, 2022, and September 28, 2022.
Authorities stated that Green distributed fentanyl from his home in Accokeek. Law enforcement arrested him following several controlled purchases arranged by officers, which provided evidence that his residence served as a distribution hub for the drug.
At sentencing, prosecutors presented further evidence showing that Green had distributed large quantities of fentanyl over several years. They also described an extensive network operated by Green both within and outside the Accokeek area. Prosecutors said he used individuals addicted to fentanyl as drug testers and runners.
U.S. Attorney Kelly O. Hayes acknowledged the efforts of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Charles County Sheriff’s Office in investigating the case. She also thanked Assistant U.S. Attorneys Darren S. Gardner and Brooke Oki for prosecuting it.
“U.S. Attorney Hayes commended the DEA and Charles County Sheriff’s Office for their work in the investigation,” according to the press release. “Ms. Hayes also thanked Assistant U.S. Attorneys Darren S. Gardner and Brooke Oki who are prosecuting the federal case.”
