The City of Bowie announced on April 13 that it is moving forward in its search for a new City Manager, with five finalists set to participate in an onsite interview process. The city will hold a public meet and greet event with the candidates on April 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall lobby, located at 15901 Fred Robinson Way.

The search for a new City Manager is an important step for Bowie’s leadership, as this position oversees daily operations and helps shape policy decisions. Inviting community members to meet the candidates gives residents an opportunity to engage directly with those who may lead the city’s administration.

According to the city, the two-day onsite interview process will allow officials and residents alike to interact with each of the five highly qualified candidates under consideration. The public event aims to foster transparency and community involvement in local government hiring decisions.

A list of all candidates has been made available by the city for those interested in learning more about their backgrounds before attending the event. Community participation is encouraged as part of Bowie’s commitment to inclusive decision-making.

Further updates regarding the selection process are expected after interviews conclude.
