Rep. Glenn Ivey, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Maryland’s 4th district, recently shared updates on his activities and engagements via social media. His posts highlighted various community-focused initiatives and collaborations.

On November 17, 2024, Rep. Ivey acknowledged the contributions of clergy members in communities through a meeting he hosted alongside Chairman “@RepHorsford (NV-04) and @RepLucyMcBath (GA-06) to discuss community issues including gun violence and food insecurity.” This event underscored his commitment to addressing critical social challenges with local leaders.

The following day, on November 18, 2024, Rep. Ivey celebrated National Apprenticeship Week by announcing funding support for Joe’s Movement Emporium, a prominent organization within his district that provides apprenticeship opportunities for young creatives. He emphasized this initiative by stating “my staff and I presented funds to @joesmovement — a community staple in our district providing apprenticeship opportunities for young creatives.”

In another post on the same day, Rep. Ivey advocated for diverse apprenticeship programs tailored to meet the needs of underserved communities. He noted that “apprenticeships aren’t always a ‘one-size-fits-all,’ which is why we must support a variety of unique opportunities.”
