Harford County announced on May 5 the launch of the Harford County Celebration Trail, an interactive experience featuring 63 historic sites across the county in recognition of America’s 250th birthday.

The trail aims to encourage both residents and visitors to explore museums, historic homes, landmarks, and other sites that highlight local and national history. The initiative is designed as a self-guided journey through locations that tell the story of people and events significant to both Harford County and the nation.

“Harford’s Celebration Trail brings our rich history to life in a way that’s interactive, accessible, and fun,” said County Executive Bob Cassilly. “Whether you’re visiting for the first time or rediscovering your hometown, this experience encourages you to explore, learn, and celebrate along the way.”

The project was developed by Hello Harford—the county’s tourism marketing division within the Department of Economic Development—in collaboration with the America 250 in Harford County Committee. The trail is accessed through the Let’s Rallie mobile app. Users can download this free app from major app stores to navigate featured locations using an interactive map, check in at each destination with an in-app feature, and track their progress via a dedicated section called “My Visited Sites.”

To further motivate participation throughout 2026, Hello Harford will offer special giveaways for those who record the most site visits using Let’s Rallie. For updates or more information about participating in the trail or upcoming related events—including visits from national traveling exhibits—interested individuals are encouraged to follow Hello Harford on social media at @HelloHarford.

The introduction of this celebration trail reflects ongoing efforts by local government entities to engage communities with regional heritage during milestone anniversaries.
