The Harford County Southern County Taskforce will hold a community meeting on May 14 at the Edgewood Recreation Center in Edgewood, according to a May 9 announcement. The meeting is scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The event aims to provide residents an opportunity to share their input and receive updates on the taskforce’s activities. The county executive said the meeting is part of ongoing efforts to address issues specific to areas south of Interstate 95 that are not within municipal boundaries.

“My administration is committed to making all of Harford County the best it can be. I encourage residents to come out, provide their input, and hear updates on taskforce activities,” County Executive Bob Cassilly said.

The Southern County Taskforce was established by Cassilly in March 2023 with the goal of coordinating county efforts and addressing unique opportunities and challenges in southern Harford County.

Residents seeking more information about the taskforce or the upcoming meeting can contact Maxwell Service, Southern County Taskforce coordinator, by phone or email as provided in the announcement. Previous updates about the taskforce are available on its webpage through the county website.

Looking ahead, local officials continue outreach initiatives such as this community meeting as part of broader efforts to engage with citizens regarding development and planning across Harford County.
