Liquid Blenz Corp announced on Apr. 14 a recall of all codes of its Good Brain Tonic product due to the potential risk of botulism. The company said the recall affects both the 16-ounce and 32-ounce sizes, which were distributed nationwide in retail stores and through internet sales.

The recall is significant because botulism is a potentially fatal form of food poisoning that can cause symptoms such as general weakness, dizziness, double vision, trouble speaking or swallowing, difficulty breathing, muscle weakness, abdominal distension, and constipation. The company advises anyone experiencing these symptoms to seek immediate medical attention.

According to Liquid Blenz Corp, “Good Brain is bottled in 16 oz & 32 oz Amber bottles with plastic cap. UPC code for 16 oz size is 860010984468 and 32 oz is 860010984475.” The company also confirmed that no illnesses have been reported so far.

The potential for botulism was discovered through analysis by the Cornell Food Venture Center and field testing conducted by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors. These findings prompted the decision to initiate a voluntary recall.

Consumers who have purchased Good Brain Tonic in either bottle size are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. For additional questions or concerns about this recall, consumers can contact Liquid Blenz Corp at 1-516-608-8826.
