Loyola will play against Army on April 29 in the Patriot League Semifinals, marking their second meeting this season. Army won the previous matchup between the teams, 18-10. The last time they met in the Patriot League Championships was in 2023, when Loyola secured a victory with a score of 13-8.
The game is significant as both teams have shown strong performances throughout the season and are competing for a spot in the championship game. Sophomores Morgan Quade and Lauren Perfetto have been key contributors for Loyola, with Quade leading the team in assists and points, while Perfetto is second in assists and third in points.
Mae Murphy has excelled as a freshman, taking over draw control duties from Chase Boyle. Murphy set new records for single-season draw controls at both Loyola and within Division I. Head coach Jen Adams is now in her eighteenth season with Loyola and recently achieved her 250th career win after defeating Colgate.
Elisa Faklaris reached notable milestones this year by scoring her 100th career goal during a four-goal performance against Bucknell and surpassing 100 career points earlier this season. Mim Suares-Jury has also had an impressive sophomore campaign following success at the international level with Australia’s national team at The World Games.
Army enters Thursday’s matchup with a record of 13-3 overall (8-1 conference), coming off a decisive win over Colgate. Allison Reilly leads nationally with assists while Brigid Duffy leads or ties league leaders in goals scored and caused turnovers. In goal, Lindsey Serafine has started every game for Army.
Six Greyhounds were named to All-League teams by the Patriot League; Mae Murphy was recognized as Rookie of the Year alongside several teammates earning first or second team honors. The senior class was honored after their recent game against Colgate for compiling an impressive record during their tenure at Loyola.
