Maryland Eastern Shore men’s golf finishes ninth at Battle at Rum Pointe

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men’s golf team finished ninth out of sixteen teams in the Battle at Rum Pointe, according to a March 30 announcement. The event took place in Berlin, Maryland, where the Hawks recorded a team score of 609 over two rounds.

The team’s top performer was Max Osten, who tied for fifteenth place with scores of 73 and 75 for a total of 148. Andreas Roman followed closely behind, tying for twenty-first with rounds of 73 and 76 for a combined score of 149. Jeter Teng finished tied for forty-fourth with scores of 78 and 75 (153 total), while Marcos Ramirez placed seventy-eighth after shooting an eighty and seventy-nine (159 total). Jaden Hansen rounded out the team’s scoring in ninety-fifth place with rounds of eighty-four and eighty-three (167 total).

The tournament provided valuable experience for the Hawks as they competed against a strong field. Their performance highlighted both individual achievements and areas to build upon as they continue their season.

Looking ahead, Maryland Eastern Shore will return to competition on April 6-7 at the Appalachian State Irish Creek Intercollegiate in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
