Oakland woman arrested for driving under the influence at Crellin Elementary School

The Garrett County Sheriff’s Office announced on April 26 that Sheena Marie Shiflett, a 41-year-old Oakland resident, was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance while in the pick-up line at Crellin Elementary School on April 24.

According to Sheriff Bryson Meyers, deputies responded to a call around 3:15 p.m. after receiving reports of an individual passed out in a vehicle. Following their investigation, deputies arrested Shiflett and charged her with driving under the influence and related traffic offenses. She was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center and later released on her own recognizance after appearing before a District Court Commissioner.
