Loyola University Maryland freshman Petter Hagen was named to the All-Patriot League Men’s Tennis Second Team on May 1, following a vote by the conference’s coaches.

Hagen completed his first collegiate season with a 9-8 overall singles record and a 3-4 mark in Patriot League play. He competed at the No. 1 singles position for Loyola Greyhounds throughout the season.

The freshman, who is from Spain, recorded league wins against players from Boston University, Lafayette, and Colgate. In doubles competition, he partnered mainly with Louis Moldenhauer at No. 2 doubles and finished with an 8-10 record.

The recognition marks a strong start to Hagen’s college tennis career as he contributed consistently in both singles and doubles for the Greyhounds this year.

Looking ahead, Hagen’s performance sets expectations for continued contributions in future seasons as part of Loyola’s men’s tennis program.
