Rep. Glenn Ivey, a U.S. Congressman representing Maryland’s 4th district since 2023, recently shared his thoughts on several pressing issues through social media posts. Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, and an alumnus of Princeton University and Harvard Law School, Ivey has been actively involved in political discourse.

On February 4, 2025, Rep. Glenn Ivey commemorated the legacy of Rosa Parks on her 112th posthumous birthday. He stated: “On the 112th posthumous birthday of Rosa Parks, we honor her legacy and unwavering courage that ignited the Civil Rights Movement. We will continue to fight for justice. As she once said, ‘To bring about change, you must not be afraid to take the first step.'”

Later that day, Ivey addressed former President Trump’s executive order targeting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. On February 4, he expressed his opposition by stating: “Trump’s attacks on DEI via executive order are discriminatory and unconstitutional. I stand alongside @MayorBMScott with efforts to fight back in Congress and in the courts.”

In another post dated February 5, 2025, Rep. Ivey invited constituents to participate in a Federal Worker Virtual Town Hall scheduled for February 6 at 7:30 p.m., citing concerns over recent administrative actions: “My office has been hearing your concerns regarding the actions of the administration. Join my team and @CouncilD5Ivey for a Federal Worker Virtual Town Hall on Thursday, February 6 at 7:30 p.m.”
