Rep. Glenn Ivey, a U.S. Congressman representing Maryland’s 4th district and Harvard Law School graduate, posted a series of statements on September 4, 2025, addressing recent political and public health developments.

In his first post at 19:18 UTC, Ivey commented on a court decision involving Harvard University: “As a proud Harvard alum, I’m glad to see the court strike down Trump’s unlawful freeze of $2B in research funds. Harvard stood strong for academic freedom and truth. I’ll always stand with institutions that resist political overreach.”

Later that evening at 21:05 UTC, he criticized actions taken by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., writing: “RFK Jr. is firing experts and making it harder for Americans to get vaccines. These moves don’t advance health, they threaten it. He should be fired.”

At 21:56 UTC the same day, Ivey referenced discussions during an Appropriations Committee session about the Epstein files: “In yesterday’s Appropriations Committee mark up, we pressed Republicans on the Epstein files. Some of the statements were shocking and deeply disrespectful to the survivors who bravely came forward. As a former prosecutor, I’ve stood with victims seeking justice. Dismissing”

Ivey has served in Congress since 2023 after replacing Anthony Brown and previously held office in the Maryland House of Representatives. Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961 and currently residing in Cheverly, he earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University before attending Harvard Law School.
