U.S. Representative Glenn Ivey, who serves Maryland’s 4th district in Congress, recently addressed issues of due process, the Federal Reserve Board, and women’s equality through a series of posts on his official social media account.
On August 25, 2025, Ivey wrote about ongoing concerns related to legal fairness: “The struggle for #DueProcess continues. Everyone deserves their day in court to clear their name and to prove their innocence. Mr. Abrego Garcia must not be sent to some third party country like Uganda. The people united will continue to seek justice for Kilmar!”.
The following day, Ivey criticized former President Donald Trump’s actions regarding the Federal Reserve Board: “PRESIDENT TRUMP HAS CROSSED A LINE. For the first time in history, a president is trying to remove a Federal Reserve Governor—Lisa Cook, the first Black woman ever to serve on the Board. The allegations predate her service and remain unproven, yet she’s being targeted in a” (August 26, 2025).
Later that same day, Ivey marked Women’s Equality Day by referencing historical milestones and current challenges: “Today, we mark #WomensEqualityDay — honoring the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920 and the generations of trailblazers who made it possible. While there has been tremendous progress, let us remember that full equality remains unfinished.”
Representative Glenn Ivey succeeded Anthony Brown as representative for Maryland’s 4th District in 2023 after serving previously in the Maryland House of Representatives. Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961 and currently residing in Cheverly at age 62, Ivey holds degrees from Princeton University (BA) and Harvard Law School (JD).
