Rep. Glenn Ivey, who represents Maryland’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several topics on his Twitter account this week, ranging from political commentary to community engagement and educational outreach.
On January 12, 2026, Rep. Ivey criticized threats against Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, stating: “Threatening Fed Chair Jerome Powell with a DOJ indictment is corrupt and dangerous. It is political intimidation. An independent Fed keeps prices stable and markets honest. President Trump cares more about abusing his power over making prices affordable.”
The following day, January 13, he recognized the anniversary of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., writing: “Happy Founders’ Day to the women of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Delta’s legacy of leadership and advocacy continues to uplift our communities and move our country forward. Thank you for 112 years of impact.”
Later that same day, Rep. Ivey shared his experience hosting students at the U.S. Capitol: “Always great to welcome students to the People’s House. I was proud to host and speak with DeMatha Catholic High School’s AP Government class at the U.S. Capitol—talking about how our democracy works and why civic engagement matters. The future is in good hands.”
