Rep. Glenn Ivey, who represents Maryland’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on October 31, 2025, addressing health insurance costs, honoring a local leader, and commenting on a recent court decision related to food assistance.

In another statement concerning federal food assistance programs, Ivey commented on a legal ruling: “Today’s court decision confirms what we’ve been fighting for all along: no American should be used as a bargaining chip. Glenn Ivey has served in Congress since replacing Anthony Brown in 2023. He previously held office in the Maryland House of Representatives and has longstanding ties to public service in his state. Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961 and currently residing in Cheverly at age 62, Ivey is an alumnus of Princeton University (BA) and Harvard Law School (JD).
