Rep. Glenn Ivey, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Maryland’s 4th district, has recently addressed his constituents and colleagues through a series of tweets concerning federal workforce protections and actions against recent executive orders. Ivey, who succeeded Anthony Brown in 2023, continues to advocate for federal employees’ rights and policies that impact them.

On February 5, 2025, Rep. Glenn Ivey invited his followers to participate in a virtual town hall meeting aimed at discussing protections available to federal employees. He stated: “I encourage you to join me this Thursday for a Virtual Town Hall at 7:30 pm to learn more about the protections that are available to federal employees.”

Later that day, he highlighted his collaborative efforts with the Labor Caucus to address concerns regarding former President Trump’s policies affecting the federal workforce. In his tweet, he emphasized the importance of their expertise for national operations: “Today, I work with my colleagues on the @Labor_Caucus to combat President Trump’s attack on the federal workforce.”

On February 6, 2025, Rep. Ivey attended an AFGE rally at the Department of Labor Building alongside colleagues and constituents. He expressed opposition to recent executive orders impacting federal workers: “Yesterday, I attended the AFGE Rally alongside my colleagues and several constituents at the Department of Labor Building to voice our concerns regarding the recent executive orders.”
