Rep. Glenn Ivey, U.S. Congressman representing Maryland’s 4th district since 2023, addressed constituents on October 10, 2025, through a series of posts on his social media account. The messages covered topics ranging from youth career opportunities to concerns about the justice system and health care premiums.

In an announcement aimed at young people, Ivey posted: “Calling all high school students and recent graduates! My office will be hosting our annual Youth Career Fair filled with opportunities to explore exciting career paths, meet industry professionals, and learn about apprenticeships, internships, and job opportunities that can” (October 10, 2025).

Later that day, he commented on national legal issues: “As a former prosecutor who cares deeply about our justice system, I am deeply troubled by the Trump Administration’s efforts to turn the Department of Justice into the Department of Retribution. Using the power of the federal government to target and intimidate political” (October 10, 2025).

Addressing health care concerns in another post on October 10, Ivey wrote: “Millions of Americans across the country are now receiving notices with massive premium increases because of the Republican health care crisis. In many cases, premiums are doubling on working families. I heard from health care providers earlier today. Now I want to hear from you.”

Ivey has served in Congress since replacing Anthony Brown in Maryland’s 4th District in 2023 and previously held a seat in the Maryland House of Representatives. He was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961 and currently resides in Cheverly at age 62. His educational background includes a BA from Princeton University (1983) and a JD from Harvard Law School (1986).
