U.S. Congressman Glenn Ivey, who represents Maryland’s 4th district, recently posted several updates on social media regarding opportunities for students and community engagement events in his district.

On August 20, 2025, Ivey invited college students from his district to apply for internships in his office. He wrote, ” Ready to make your mark in politics? My office is looking for passionate college students from MD-04 to join our DC and DO team! Whether you’re into policy analysis, constituent services, or just eager to learn how Congress works, this is your chance to get hands-on https://t.co/enUzIuxxAb”.

The following day, on August 21, he announced the opening of applications for the Military Service Academy through his office. In his post he stated, “It’s that time of the year again! My office is now accepting applications for the Military Service Academy. Interested applicants should visit my website to apply. The deadline is September 25. Visit: https://t.co/KS7mIw75qY https://t.co/O8m8irwjrW”.

On August 22, Ivey highlighted a local event at Kenmoor Middle School that aimed to foster community spirit. He wrote, “I wrapped up the week alongside @CouncilD5Ivey and Infinite Legacy, bringing our community together for the Kenmoor Middle School Block Party. Families, laughter, good food, and conversation are exactly the coming together that builds stronger neighborhoods. We’re gathering today https://t.co/P3uvsbrH1V”.

Glenn Ivey has represented Maryland’s 4th congressional district since 2023 after succeeding Anthony Brown in Congress. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Maryland House of Representatives. Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961 and currently residing in Cheverly at age 62, Ivey holds degrees from Princeton University (BA) and Harvard Law School (JD).
