Rep. Glenn Ivey, who represents Maryland’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several issues on his social media account, including judicial decisions related to the Trump administration and local efforts to tackle housing affordability.
On August 27, 2025, Rep. Ivey commented on a recent court ruling involving the Trump administration: “A Trump-appointed federal judge rightly dismissed the Trump administration’s unprecedented lawsuit against every Maryland federal judge. Federal District Court Judge Thomas Cullen—a Trump nominee to the bench—dismissed the Trump DOJ lawsuit, writing that to do otherwise ‘would”.
Later that day, he criticized a felony charge pursued by the Trump Department of Justice: “Charging a man with a felony for throwing a sandwich at someone was a ridiculous overreach by the Trump DOJ. Fortunately, the Founders drafted a constitution that allows citizen jurors to serve as a bulwark against overzealous prosecutors like Bondi and Pirro. Hopefully,”.
In another post dated August 27, 2025, Rep. Ivey outlined his ongoing collaboration with county leaders on housing affordability: “I’m exploring how my office, Prince George’s County and Montgomery County leaders can work together to address the housing affordability crisis. Last week, I hosted a realtor’s roundtable to discuss our approach. Entry-level homes remain out of reach, and over half of Maryland”.
Rep. Glenn Ivey has served in Congress since 2023 after replacing Anthony Brown as representative for Maryland’s 4th district. He previously served in the Maryland House of Representatives and holds degrees from Princeton University (BA) and Harvard Law School (JD). Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961, Ivey currently resides in Cheverly.
