Rep. Glenn Ivey, who represents Maryland’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently highlighted several legislative and community initiatives through a series of posts on his official social media account.

On November 18, 2025, Rep. Ivey posted about his efforts to restore collective bargaining rights for federal workers, stating: “Several months ago, I led a letter with the @LaborCaucus — signed by every House Democrat — demanding the restoration of federal workers’ collective bargaining rights. Now, with 218 members backing a discharge petition, the House is finally being forced to vote on the bipartisan”.

Later that day, he addressed transparency regarding high-profile investigations by sharing: “Today was a reminder that no one is above the law. I stood with my House colleagues and voted YES to release the Epstein files. The American people deserve transparency.

On November 19, 2025, Rep. Ivey turned attention to educational opportunities in Prince George’s County: “Thanks to the strong partnership between @pgcps and Prince George’s Community College, more tuition-free college courses will soon become available for high school students in our community:

Juniors & Seniors can take college-level classes during the school day at their”.

Rep. Glenn Ivey began serving in Congress in 2023 after succeeding Anthony Brown as representative for Maryland’s 4th district. Before joining Congress, he served in the Maryland House of Representatives and has an extensive background in law and public service; he graduated from Princeton University with a BA in 1983 and earned his JD from Harvard Law School in 1986. Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961, Ivey currently resides in Cheverly.
