He expressed gratitude to participants such as acting Maryland Secretary of Health Ryan Moran for their involvement. “Yesterday, I hosted a roundtable discussion with community leaders in the health industry to discuss the potential effects of the proposed cuts to Medicaid.”

Later that day, Rep. Ivey criticized the decision by the Trump & Musk administration to dismantle the Department of Education. He emphasized its negative impact on students, families, and the country as a whole. “Dismantling the Department of Education is yet another disastrous decision by the Trump & Musk administration.”

On March 21, 2025, Rep. Ivey highlighted Maryland’s readiness to lead in space exploration amidst renewed competition with China and budget challenges. He discussed these topics at an event with MSBR (Maryland Space Business Roundtable), stressing that success in space supports various aspects such as economy and national security. “Space is more important than ever, and MD is ready to lead.”
