Rep. Glenn Ivey, who represents Maryland’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on his recent activities and views through a series of posts on social media between September 20 and September 22, 2025.
On September 20, Ivey announced an upcoming media appearance: “Looking forward to joining. @ChrisStirewalt on @TheHillSunday. Tune in tomorrow on @NewsNation at 10 a.m.”
Later that day, he reflected on his participation in a charitable event related to Alzheimer’s disease, writing: “I was honored to join today’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s- an emotional and powerful event that hits close to home. I lost my father to Alzheimer’s, and I carry that with me every day. This disease affects millions of families, and it demands action. That’s why I’ll keep fighting in”
On September 22, Ivey addressed the role of the Department of Justice (DOJ), stating: “As a former prosecutor, I know justice must be blind. The DOJ’s job is to follow the facts and protect due process, not carry out political grudges. If politics takes over, equal justice falls and democracy breaks.”
Glenn Ivey has represented Maryland’s 4th District since replacing Anthony Brown in Congress in 2023. Before his current role in Congress, he served in the Maryland House of Representatives.[source] He was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961 and currently resides in Cheverly.[source] Ivey holds a BA from Princeton University (1983) and a JD from Harvard Law School (1986).[source]
