The City of Bowie announced on Apr. 27 that it will host the Spring Fling event at Belair Mansion on May 2, featuring an afternoon of free yoga and zumba sessions. The event is open to all and does not require registration.

Spring Fling aims to bring the community together for a day of outdoor activities and family-friendly fun. Attendees are encouraged to participate in wellness activities, enjoy crafts for children, and watch a presentation titled Birds of Prey by Patuxent Research Refuge.

According to the announcement, participants should bring their own yoga mat, reusable water bottle, and an old white t-shirt if they wish to join in the tie-dye upcycling activity. “Tie-dye will be available to upcycle an old garment into something new, but participants must bring their own garment to tie-dye,” organizers said.

Kids’ crafts and snowcones will also be available during the event. Picnics are welcome at Belair Mansion grounds as part of the festivities.
