MARYLAND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Johns Hopkins Secures Grant To Aid Workforce Development

Teachingcomputer

Maryland Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Aug. 16.

How can we prepare students to solve technology-based problems of the future? The answer is simple—arm them with education.

Johns Hopkins University will do that by leading a multi-university research project to educate and train the science and technology workforce. This five-year, $30 million grant was awarded by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Undergrad and graduate students, along with post-doctoral fellows are among those who will be sent to NIST to conduct research. This partnership leverages resources across universities in order to support integrated field training and retain talent in the STEM fields.

Head to the Baltimore Business Journal for more details and to see the partner institutions.
