Chevy Chase (Montgomery County) home prices fall in the first quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2018 in Chevy Chase in Montgomery County fell by $171,500 while total sales decreased by 41.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2018, there were 30 homes sold, with a median sale price of $977,500 - a 14.9% decrease over the $1,149,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 51 homes sold in Chevy Chase in the first quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Chevy Chase for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $11,021, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2018.
