The City of Takoma Park announced on Apr. 24 that its annual Go Solar, TkPk! event will take place on Thursday, May 7 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Community Center Auditorium located at 7500 Maple Ave.

The event is designed to help residents, renters, and property owners learn about transitioning to clean energy sources. It aims to provide information and support for those interested in reducing their energy bills and carbon emissions.

Go Solar, TkPk! will feature presentations and a question-and-answer session with experts. The program covers both rooftop solar installations and community solar options for residents and business owners.

Attendees are encouraged to register online for the event. The city hopes this initiative will make it easier for community members to access clean energy solutions.

The Go Solar, TkPk! event reflects Takoma Park’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainability within the community by providing practical guidance on renewable energy.
