The Luxury Collection announced on April 16 a new partnership with Margherita Maccapani Missoni, founder of the fashion label Maccapani and longtime Global Explorer of The Luxury Collection. The collaboration will debut as an immersive retail pop-up and capsule collection at Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Milan, from April 20 to 26, coinciding with Milan’s design week and the Fuorisalone program.

This initiative aims to celebrate Italian heritage and craftsmanship while marking The Luxury Collection’s 120th anniversary. By bringing together fashion, artisan objects, and hospitality under one roof, the project highlights Milan’s creative culture and reinforces its reputation as a global capital of design.

Bruce Rohr, Vice President and Global Brand Leader for The Luxury Collection, said: “At The Luxury Collection, we are guided by a deep respect for the character and cultural legacy that shapes each destination. Margherita Maccapani Missoni’s artistry, and the way she engages so intuitively with Italian craft, brings a rare perspective to this collaboration. At Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Milan, her vision allows our brand to illuminate the city’s enduring traditions through a contemporary lens – inviting guests to experience Milan not only as a global design capital but as a place of living heritage, creativity, and soul.”

Founded in 2023 by Margherita Maccapani Missoni, Maccapani blends youth culture with traditional Italian authenticity. For this event at Casa Brera hotel in Milan during Design Week (April 20–26), Missoni has curated both emerging artisans and established brands. “Milan has always been a city where creativity flourishes through a dialogue between heritage and innovation,” said Margherita Maccapani Missoni. “My ongoing collaboration with The Luxury Collection has allowed me to deepen my connection to the artisans… With Maccapani Edits for The Luxury Collection we set out to create something both authentic and playful – a collection shaped by makers… I’m delighted to share these discoveries with travelers from around the world during such an inspiring moment for the country.”

Key pieces in the exclusive capsule include signature T-shirts featuring motifs inspired by CIGA heritage; six embroidered patches reflecting iconic Italian hotels; reimagined tote bags; along with select items available online via both brands’ e-commerce platforms.

Alongside these products is an array of artisan-made goods handpicked by Missoni—ranging from Florentine paper atelier Il Papiro’s stationery to Iacobella leather handbags from Florence; ceramics by Lucia Zamberletti; Murano glass candleholders from Yali Glass; Merù Gioielli enameled pendants; jewelry boxes from Mapi—and more.

Casa Brera will also offer guests special guided experiences exploring local workshops behind several featured artisans during Design Week. These tours aim to give visitors deeper insight into Milanese craft traditions.
