We R Nuts announced on Apr. 27 the recall of 254 containers of Uncle Giuseppe’s branded milk chocolate bridge mix because they may contain undeclared milk, soy, and cashews. The company said people with allergies or severe sensitivities to these ingredients could face serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume the product.

The recalled milk chocolate bridge mix was distributed in New York and New Jersey through Uncle Giuseppe’s retail stores. The affected products are packaged in clear rectangular 11-ounce tamper-resistant plastic containers, with sell-by dates ranging from September 4 to November 6, 2026. All packages are labeled as distributed by We R Nuts at the bottom of the label.

According to We R Nuts, the recall began after an inspection revealed that some allergens were missing from the ingredient list on the product label. “Once We R Nuts Management was made aware of the allergens missing from our ingredient label, we started a formal recall,” the company said.

No injuries or illnesses related to this recall have been reported so far. Customers who have purchased this product and have allergies to milk, soy, or cashews are advised to throw away any remaining product and return it to the store for a full refund.

Consumers seeking more information can contact We R Nuts at (516)705-0800 between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.
