The Calvert County Board of Appeals has scheduled the following cases for public hearing at the times listed below on Thursday, September 6, 2018 in the Commissioners Hearing Room in the Calvert County Circuit Courthouse, located at 175 Main Street, Prince Frederick, Maryland. Case No. 18-3955: Amy and Paul Deal have applied for special exception approval of a Class II Home Occupation to conduct in-home piano lessons with on-site appointments. The subject property is located at 7021 S. Flint Hill Rd., Owings (Tax Map 10, Parcel 135, Lot 16, Lower Marlboro Towne subdivision) and is zoned Farm and Forest District (FFD). APPROVED 3-0

Case No. 18-3949: David and Jan Huether have applied for Critical Area variance approval to exceed lot coverage limits of 5445 sq. ft., for expansion of a driveway/parking pad with resulting total lot coverage of 5903 sq. ft. The subject property is located at 2716 Aspen Rd., Port Republic (Tax Map 28A, Scientists’ Cliffs, Section 5A, Lot 704R) and is zoned Residential District/Limited Development Area (RD/LDA).
