Wheaton-Glenmont home prices rise in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Wheaton-Glenmont rose by $40,000 while total sales increased by 41%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were 165 homes sold, with a median sale price of $355,000 - a 12.7% increase over the $315,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 117 homes sold in Wheaton-Glenmont in the first quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Wheaton-Glenmont for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,809, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2017.
