Chevy Chase (Montgomery County) home prices rise in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Chevy Chase in Montgomery County rose by $114,000 while total sales increased by 82.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were 51 homes sold, with a median sale price of $1,149,000 - a 11% increase over the $1,035,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 28 homes sold in Chevy Chase in the first quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Chevy Chase for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $11,021, approximately 1% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2017.
