Anne Arundel County Economic Development Corporation issued the following announcement on Nov. 27.
“Customers travel to the Anne Arundel County Farmers’ Market on a nippy Sunday morning to do their weekly and holiday shopping. Farmers said they are thankful for the customers and the uptick in sales ahead of Thanksgiving this week. Without this market, many farmers said they wouldn’t be in business..
For many small-scale and first-generation farmers, the market is where they get the most value for their labor. And customers shopping for a holiday that centers around food is one of the most direct ways they feel supported by the community.”
