Anne Arundel County – MD issued the following announcement on June 10.
Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman issued the following statement on Governor Hogan’s commitment to funding a Tier 2 study for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, including reviewing the corridor from the Severn River Bridge to the Rt. 50/Rt. 301 split.
“I want to thank Governor Hogan for not only moving forward with the Bay Crossing Phase 2 Study, but also supporting our request to include the eastbound approach to the bridge, so that the crippling traffic in the heart of our county can be addressed in a comprehensive way.
Last month, I included the Bay Bridge study as a priority in the consolidated transportation program letter to Secretary Ports and his team. We look forward to having a seat at the table throughout this process so that our experts can ensure that environmental impacts and comprehensive transportation planning to reduce traffic bottlenecks are fully considered.”
