Rep. Glenn Ivey, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Maryland’s 4th district, recently shared a series of tweets addressing various issues and events pertinent to his constituents and broader national concerns.

On June 4, 2025, Rep. Ivey expressed strong criticism regarding testimony from Director Vought and Elon Musk's approach towards federal workers. In his tweet, he questioned their understanding of reality: "What planet are they living on? Despite Director Vought’s testimony today, he and Elon Musk have made it crystal clear—they don’t care about federal workers. Their words have been cruel, their actions even worse. I won’t stand by while they treat our public servants like punching."

The following day, on June 5, 2025, Rep. Ivey celebrated with the Largo Lions basketball team after their successful season. He commended their dedication and teamwork in a tweet stating: "Great catching up with the Largo Lions after their big win last season! Your hard work, discipline, and teamwork really showed out. Proud to celebrate with you and talk about leadership and giving back to the community. Keep pushing and keep shining — Prince George’s County."

Later that same day, Rep. Ivey addressed concerns over workforce reductions under the Trump Administration's policies impacting Prince George’s County residents. He emphasized his support for local initiatives aimed at assisting affected individuals: "As the Trump Administration continues to downsize the federal workforce, many of our neighbors in Prince George’s County face uncertainty. That’s why I’m proud to support Employ Prince George's and their Career Transition Resources (CTR) initiative—designed to help impacted."

Glenn Ivey has represented Maryland's 4th District since replacing Anthony Brown in 2023. Before serving in Congress, he was part of the Maryland House of Representatives.
