Rep. Glenn Ivey, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Maryland’s 4th district since 2023, recently posted a series of tweets discussing his meetings with business leaders, participation in policy events, and concerns over law enforcement priorities.

On July 15, 2025, Ivey wrote about a meeting with Ron Busby from the U.S. Black Chambers: "It was good to meet with Ron Busby from the @usblackchambers and his staff to get some further insights into what businesses are going through right now amidst the economic policy turmoil created by Trump’s Tariffs."

The following day, July 16, Ivey promoted his appearance at a policy summit: "Joining the Hill Nation Summit today at 3 p.m. to break down why the President’s agenda misses the mark—and what Congress should be doing instead. Don’t miss it." He included a link for viewers to tune in.

Later on July 16, Ivey expressed concern about federal law enforcement priorities: "Law enforcement efforts should be focused on the most violent offenders. This administration's reassignment of FBI agents to support immigration-related work threatens to divert attention from the FBI’s core criminal justice priorities.

I voted against this Republican funding".

Glenn Ivey succeeded Anthony Brown as representative for Maryland's 4th district and has served in Congress since 2023. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Maryland House of Representatives. Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961 and currently residing in Cheverly, Ivey holds degrees from Princeton University (BA) and Harvard Law School (JD).
