On February 18, 2025, Rep. Glenn Ivey expressed concern over Elon Musk's alleged attempts to access personal IRS information of Americans. He stated, "Elon Musk is seeking the personal IRS information of every American, an invasion of your privacy." He emphasized that such actions by an "unelected billionaire" should not be permitted and highlighted the efforts of House Democrats in addressing this issue.

On February 19, 2025, Ivey participated in a demonstration with workers and scientists from various agencies including NIH and FDA. In his tweet, he mentioned joining hundreds to urge HHS against freezing funds for critical medical research. He wrote, "Today, I joined hundreds of workers, scientists & researchers from @NIH, @FDA and science agencies to urge HHS to refrain from freezing monies dedicated to curing cancer..."

On February 20, 2025, Rep. Ivey commented on the confirmation of Kash Patel as the head of the FBI by Senate Republicans. He shared his disappointment stating that Patel was unqualified for the position but hoped he would uphold the rule of law in his new role. His tweet read: "I am disappointed but not surprised that Senate Republicans would confirm someone as unqualified and partisan as Kash Patel to lead the FBI."
