In his tweet, he mentioned joining hundreds to urge HHS against freezing funds for critical medical research. On February 20, 2025, Rep. Ivey commented on the confirmation of Kash Patel as the head of the FBI by Senate Republicans. He shared his disappointment stating that Patel was unqualified for the position but hoped he would uphold the rule of law in his new role.
