On May 19, 2025, Rep. Glenn Ivey shared insights from his appearance on a news program regarding challenges faced by House Democrats. In his tweet, he stated, "I joined @weeknightmsnbc to discuss the challenges @HouseDemocrats are currently facing. Democrats are fighting to uphold the rule of law—but the battle is twofold. First, we must ensure the president follows Supreme Court orders. Second, we must confront the erosion of judicial."

Later that day, Ivey took to social media again to express solidarity with community members demanding justice for Kilmar Abrego Garcia. On May 19, 2025, he tweeted, "Last week, I stood with our community, including @CASAforall, in front of the Greenbelt Courthouse, demanding justice for Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Wrongfully deported to El Salvador, Kilmar was denied his day in court. The Supreme Court has ruled his deportation illegal."

The following day on May 20, 2025, Rep. Ivey addressed concerns over federal funding cuts under the Trump administration affecting cultural institutions and public broadcasting services. In a tweet, he criticized these actions: "The Trump administration is trying to erase our history. They're slashing museum budgets, gutting the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and defunding public broadcasting." He further asserted that such decisions should not be solely at the discretion of any president.

Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961 and now residing in Cheverly at age 62, Glenn Ivey brings a robust educational background with degrees from Princeton University and Harvard Law School.
