Rep. Glenn Ivey, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Maryland's 4th district, has been vocal on various issues through his social media posts. He succeeded Anthony Brown in 2023 and has previously served in the Maryland House of Representatives.

He expressed concerns over the "reckless budget proposal", stating that their reconciliation bill aims to cut nearly $1 trillion from Medicaid, jeopardizes school lunch programs, and threatens healthcare for millions to fund tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy.

Later that day, Rep. Ivey addressed issues of discrimination and accountability within corporate America. In a tweet, he emphasized that "discrimination based on race, gender, or religion has no place in our society" while cautioning against baseless accusations. He urged that FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr’s investigation into DEI programs at companies like Disney and Comcast should be fact-based rather than politically motivated.

On May 22, 2025, Rep. Ivey shared a link to his statement regarding what he referred to as a "big ugly bill". This post was part of his ongoing commentary on legislative matters impacting his constituents and broader policy discussions.

Glenn Ivey was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961 and resides in Cheverly. He is an alumnus of Princeton University with a BA earned in 1983 and holds a JD from Harvard Law School obtained in 1986.
