Rep. Glenn Ivey, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Maryland’s 4th district, has been vocal on social media regarding recent political actions and their implications. On June 10, 2025, he addressed issues concerning veterans' benefits, federal government layoffs, and changes in health-related committees.

On June 10 at 16:49 UTC, Rep. Glenn Ivey posted a tweet highlighting his concerns about the current state of affairs under House Republicans' leadership.

Later that day at 17:58 UTC, Rep. Ivey expressed criticism towards House Republicans through another tweet. He stated that they are "gutting veterans’ benefits" by cutting funding for education, housing, job training, and food assistance to provide tax breaks for "Trump’s billionaire donors." Additionally, he mentioned former President Donald Trump's actions in "firing veterans across the federal government."

At 21:00 UTC on the same day, Ivey commented on health policy changes with a tweet criticizing HHS Secretary RFK Jr.'s decision to eliminate all members of a key committee at the CDC. He emphasized the importance of vaccinations as common sense measures for protecting children and communities.

Glenn Ivey was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961 and resides in Cheverly. He holds degrees from Princeton University (BA) and Harvard Law School (JD), having graduated in 1983 and 1986 respectively. Before serving Maryland's 4th District since 2023 following Anthony Brown's tenure, he was part of the Maryland House of Representatives.
