Gov. Larry Hogan released a second television advertisement today, as he campaigns for re-election in November.
The advertisement is titled "The Aisle" and is 30 seconds long. It shows videos, newspaper headlines, pictures of Hogan with other political figures, video clips from events and Hogan speaking to the camera.
"I ran for office because I was completely fed up with politics as usual in Annapolis and in Washington," Hogan said in the advertisement. "And quite frankly, I still am."
There are no Republican candidates running against Hogan in the primary election, but there are several Democrats who hope to challenge him in the November general election.
In the advertisement, Hogan says he doesn't care much about politics or what political party people choose to be affiliated with.
"I care about common-sense, bipartisan solutions, and I care about fixing problems," he said in the advertisement. "We work together with local officials. We work across the aisle."
Hogan said that being honest with each other and being respectful are key.
"We don't always agree, but we respectfully agree to disagree and we're honest with each other," Hogan said in the advertisement. "We're doing the best job we can and if people appreciate it, that means a lot."
The Maryland primary election is on June 26.
