Comptroller of Maryland issued the following announcement on July 6.
Comptroller Franchot visited ECO City Farms in Edmonston on Tuesday where he presented a proclamation to CEO Margaret Morgan-Hubbard.
The farm was established in 2010 as an educational nonprofit designed to serve as a prototype for sustainable local urban farming. They also run a 6-week Summer Youth Employment Program consisting of 20 local high school students who were present. The students learn to grow food and cook their own lunches using ingredients grown on the farm.
