The corporate office for Paul Fredrick, an online menswear retailer, will be moving to Baltimore County and adding 70 new jobs to the local community over the next five years.

The company plans to locate its headquarters in the county include renting up to 10,000 square feet and adding a retail storefront to the area.

"Our team is looking forward to being in the greater Baltimore area, which has a long history in the apparel manufacturing business, and where we have the ability to hire from the area’s rich talent pool and terrific local colleges and universities,” CEO R. Neal Black said in a press announcement.

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan

Black and current CFO David Ullman joined Paul Fredrick earlier this year. Both are former Jos. A. Bank executives.

“Our administration is excited that an innovative, growing company like Paul Fredrick has chosen to relocate their headquarters to Baltimore County, add 70 new jobs, and potentially develop retail locations,” Gov. Larry Hogan said in the same announcement.

“With our skilled workforce, growing economy, and open-for-business attitude, Maryland and Baltimore County is the perfect place for Paul Frederick to locate and expand their company.”

Maryland Commerce Secretary Mike Gill also weighed in on the company’s decision to move into the area.

“This is a testament to not only our business-friendly climate, but also speaks to the strategic advantages, like our workforce, transportation infrastructure, and centralized location, that give companies in Maryland a competitive edge,” Gill said.

Paul Fredrick has never had a brick-and-mortar location, choosing instead to sell products online and through its catalog.

The company, which was founded in 1986, started off selling men’s dress shirts, but has expanded to include suits, sports coats, pants, ties, cufflinks, casual wear and shoes.
