Social Services Commissioner Vicki Grant requested permission to create one full-time Accountant (PEF, Grade 7, Step: Base to 11) position in the Department of Social Services. This positon is responsible for the claiming of all programs and supervision of the accounting unit. The annual salary of this position is estimated between $42,652 and $59,041 with benefits estimated at 48 percent. Legislator Fanton asked if this will be filled with an in-house employee and if it is a tested position. Ms. Grant stated, yes, the position is tested, and she does not currently have anyone in her department, although there could be an employee from a different department who may be qualified for the job.
