Frederick County Council met Aug. 14.

Here is the minutes provided by the Council:

Council Members Bud Otis, President; M.C. Keegan-Ayer, Vice-President; Jerry Donald, Tony Chmelik, Jessica Fitzwater, Kirby Delauter and Billy Shreve were present for the meeting.

Also present were Ragen Cherney, Council Chief of Staff; John Mathias, County Attorney; and Nancy Luna, Recording Secretary.

Council Member Otis called the workshop to order at 4:30 p.m. in the first floor hearing room, Winchester Hall, 12 East Church Street, Frederick, Maryland.

The meeting began with a moment of silence followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Concerning Senior Services Advisory Board of Frederick County

Linda Thall, Sr. Assistant County Attorney, County Attorney’s Office, Ray Barnes, Chief Administrative Officer, Office of the County Executive and Margaret Nusbaum, Administrative Director, Office of the County Executive presented the bill to the Council.

Farm-based Craft Beverage Promotional Events

Steven Horn, Director, Planning and Permitting Division, Kathy Mitchell, Assistant County Attorney, County Attorney’s Office presented the bill to the Council.

Impartiality of Planning Commission and Board of Appeals Members

Council Member Tony Chmelik presented the bill to the Council.

Amendment to Frederick County Code, Chapter 1-7.1: Ethics

Council Member Billy Shreve presented the bill to the Council.

Discussion of New Business Items

Council Member Jessica Fitzwater requested a workshop on In Home Businesses, Council Members Chmelik, Shreve and Delauter requested a workshop on Water and Sewer Amendment procedures and Council Member Shreve requested a workshop on Cost of Building ADUs.

The meeting adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
