Rep. Glenn Ivey, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Maryland's 4th district, has recently shared insights on various significant issues through his social media platform. Ivey, who succeeded Anthony Brown in 2023 and previously served in the Maryland House of Representatives, often uses his platform to address pressing social matters.

On June 20, 2025, Rep. Ivey highlighted an important gathering in Baltimore: "Hundreds of Black leaders, activists, artists, and community members have gathered in Baltimore for the final phase of the State of the People Tour, kicking off with the Juneteenth National Assembly." He emphasized that this event is not just a celebration but also "a call to action."

Later that day, he criticized certain policies by stating: "The Trump administration is labeling immigrants as threats without evidence—then tearing families apart and detaining people with no criminal history." He described these actions as both policy and moral failures.

On June 21, 2025, Rep. Ivey announced a postponement regarding an upcoming event: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, our Second Annual Gun Violence Summit is postponed." The summit aims to unite survivors and advocates to promote gun violence prevention.

Glenn Ivey was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961 and currently resides in Cheverly. He holds degrees from Princeton University (BA) and Harvard Law School (JD).
