State spending: Which agencies spent the most since 2013?

Comptroller of Maryland General Accounting Division, Maryland State Department of Education and Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene spent the most of all state agencies over the last five years, according to the latest state data.

Data from the Department of Budget and Management includes all payments made by state agencies for fiscal years 2013 through 2017. Vendors include private businesses, local governments, non-profit organizations, and individuals.
