i. Medical Direction – There will be some Urgent Care configuration changes coming in February of 2019. Their new hours of operation will be 8am-8pm. There will no longer be doctors or nurses at the facilities, only Physician Assistants. The February date is tentative and could change. Dr. Glen discussed there have been some personality problems from EMS crews and staff alike. If there are any issues, handle them correctly and in a professional manner. Make it clear to the doctors and nurses at facilities (urgent care, er, etc) who the EMT is. There are no uniforms that tell the staff who is the EMT so they don’t know. Make yourself known as the EMT on the crew to the staff.

j. CHMC – No Report

k. Calvert Emergency Communications – Discussion on ambulances not clearing the hospital. It’s asked that your ambulances clear the hospital when they are leaving the hospital parking lot, not when they get back in their first due or when they hear a good call they want to mark up on. When ambulances don’t clear the hospital we don’t know where units are. The other night there were 4 ambulances showing at the hospital and CMH went on reroute. When the ER was contacted by Calvert Dispatch, there were no Calvert ambulances still at the hospital even though their status was At Hospital. Chuck Threlfall recommended units clear and go out of service returning so Calvert knows who is still at the hospital.

o. MIEMSS Rep – There is a new executive director that comes to us with EMS experience
