Steny Hoyer, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Maryland's 5th district, recently shared several updates on social media. These posts reflect his ongoing commitment to both state and national issues.

On November 19, 2024, Hoyer expressed enthusiasm for the incoming members of Congress from Maryland. He stated, "This week, the Maryland Congressional Delegation welcomed our incoming Members of Congress, who have been a key part of #TeamMaryland for years. There's lot of work ahead, and our new Members will ensure we continue to deliver results for our state, our communities, & our people."

Later that day, he commemorated the second anniversary of a tragic event in Colorado Springs. On November 19, 2024, he wrote about the Club Q mass shooting: "Two years have passed since the horrendous mass shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs. As we remember the victims and survivors of this tragedy, we must continue the work to defend the rights of LGBTQ Americans to ensure everyone can live freely & openly without fear of bigotry."

The following day on November 20, 2024, Hoyer extended birthday wishes to President Biden with admiration for his leadership. He tweeted: "Join me in wishing a happy birthday to my good friend @POTUS. I remain inspired by your leadership and commitment to the American people including those on as you like to say 'the western shore of Delaware.' Thank you for all you've done and continue to do."
