Maryland's small business owners are encouraged to participate in the upcoming 2023 Virtual Small Business Day, set for March 7. The event aims to facilitate dialogue between lawmakers and small business stakeholders on economic recovery strategies.

The event will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams from 12:00 to 1:00 pm EST. It is free for all National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) members, though advance registration is required.

Scheduled speakers include Eric Luedtke, Chief Legislative Officer of Governor Wes Moore; Senator Melony Griffith, Chair of the Senate Finance Committee; and Delegate Jason Buckel, House Minority Leader.

Discussion topics will cover a range of issues impacting small businesses, such as minimum wage adjustments, paid family and medical leave policies, predictive scheduling mandates, unemployment insurance matters, and the state's fiscal outlook.

Julianna Rauf, Maryland Grassroots Manager at NFIB, is available to assist with registration or address questions related to the topics. She can be contacted via email at julianna.rauf@nfib.org or by phone at 518-414-6524.
