Ivey commended the U.S. Air Force's decision to continue its training programs for pioneering Black and female pilots despite recent controversies over diversity initiatives: "I applaud the Air Force for resuming their teaching of the first Black and female pilots amidst the DEI backlash. These training courses not only honor the Tuskegee Airmen and WASPS, they also keep their legacy going and remind us of barriers they broke."
